CVRC is a non-profit organization that works in cooperation with Mennonite Central Committee (MCC), a worldwide ministry of Anabaptist churches that share God’s love and compassion for all in the name of Christ by responding to basic human needs and working for peace and justice. Our mission is to provide hunger relief and material aid in the name of Christ.
Many projects are completed at CVRC to send overseas, including relief kits, hygiene kits, AIDS care kits, sewing kits, infant care kits, school kits, homemade soap, woven rugs, comforters, quilts, and canned meat. A few of the volunteer opportunities at CVRC include preparing items for kits, assembling kits for MCC, sewing patches for comforters, knotting comforters, quilting, weaving rugs, and making soap.
CVRC is open Tuesday — Friday from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm and other times by appointment.
Cumberland Valley Relief Center is located at 4225 Molly Pitcher Highway, Chambersburg, PA 17202.
If you would like to volunteer, we can be reached at (717) 375-2088 or send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org .
